Upcoming Important Dates
Leadership Lecture #1 - Theology of Spirituality and Worship
Date: May 18, 2024, 10:00 am- 2:00 pm. South Bay Celebration Assembly, Hawthorne, CA.
This lecture promises to explore the profound connection between theology, spirituality, and worship. Attendees will gain insights into creating meaningful worship experiences and nurturing spiritual growth within their congregations.
Participation in this learning opportunity will enrich your theological understanding and equip you with practical skills to navigate the dynamic challenges of church leadership in the 21st century.
Rev. Earl Coley will lecture on “Theology of Spirituality” for the contemporary church in the urban context and multi-cultural expression. Rev. Coley is a Central Bible College of the Assemblies of God graduate currently serving as Lead Pastor of Grace Assembly of God Church Los Angeles.
Tara Parham will lecture on “Theology of Worship” in the expressive context of the African American tradition. Tara Parham has roots in the Assemblies of God that stretch back to her Mississippi roots. Tara is the only African American to win the National Fine Arts Championship two years in a row and won a full scholarship to attend Central Bible College of the Assemblies of God. Tara is an accomplished singer, actor, church planter, and writer. Currently, Tara serves as the music director at Grace Assembly Los Angeles.
Black Church Roundtable: State of the Black Church in SoCal Network.
Date: June 1, 2024, 10 am-2:00 pm. SoCal Network Office- Irvine, CA.
This roundtable discussion provides a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and reflection on the current state of Black churches in Southern California, Black ministers of any ethnicity, and pastoring or serving at any church in the SoCal Network, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.
